A lost Childhood

Anyway i know i promised all my loyal readers the next edition of my Scott Pilgrim series, but its a large work in progress so I will do my best to post it by the end of the year. Anyway this is a tribute to a style of gaming I have been completely behind by and I have decided that I should talk about the only other game that I played as a child on the Gameboy advance... GOLDEN SUN!! =D This Role Playing Game (RPG) Takes place on the flat planet of Weyward where the world is comprised of the four elements: Earth, Wind, Fire and Water. The story of this game is that Alchemy was destroying the world, but making civilization prosper, so ancients sealed away the alchemy to keep the world alive... but this lead to the decline in civilization into a dark age. Then, four Adepts, people who can bend the elements (ever watch Avatar on Nickelodeon?) from the small Town of Vale named Garret and Isaac  set out on a quest to reignite the Four Elemental Lighthouses; the Venus Tower, The Jupiter Tower, the Mars Tower and the Mercury Tower (Venus=Earth, Jupiter=Wind, Mars=Fire and Mercury= Water). Upon the Activation of these towers, the energy combined to create the Golden Sun event. The interesting part of this series is that in the first game, Isaac and his team are chasing Felix and his group around the world trying to prevent them from activating the four lighthouses, but when they reach the Mercury tower Isaac Finally confronts Saturos and Meneradi (the two leaders of Felix's group) and they merge together into a giant dragon and they slay them but only after they activated the tower. Then in the next game, you are Felix and his team after this event, fleeing Isaac and activating the tower. Eventually the Original Team joins up with Felix with a change of heart to their objective, and they activate the final lighthouse, but the spirit (the Wise One... pretty much God) sends a huge-ass Three headed dragon to stop them.... but they slay it after an intense battle. They then realize that the dragon was Isaac's father and Felix's parents morphed by the Wise One... aka the Douchey One. They activate the last Tower and the combined forces of the Mercury Venus Mars and Jupiter create the Golden Sun, which restores Alchemy to the world, creating a stable world for everyone, and that's that... more or less. Now in case you don't know, there is a new Golden Sun: Dark Dawn in which you are Isaac's son 30 years into the future, and you and Tyrell (Garet's Son) and Karisa (Ivan's daughter) set out to collect the feather of the Mountain Roc, a divine bird... i just finished the game today and it gets WAY off track from that mission, all though you do collect the feather and kill the bird... however for those eager beavers you will have to wait because I'm writing a review with Zac at the end of the month where more details of the New Golden Sun Game will be released.... so until then i recommend you find the first two at Game Stop or online or SOMEWHERE and play through, and then get Dark Dawn and pass out of enjoyment.
